Many of us, as educators, grew up in traditional schools where learning was often based on grades, comparison, pressure, and the fear of making mistakes. We remember what we wished had been different.
When we came to the United States, we discovered that every education system has its strengths and its challenges. There is no perfect system. But we believe we have the opportunity to create something better.
A place where children are not just students—often assumed to be beneath school staff in the hierarchy—but individuals. Children deserve their own voice in their education. The learning environment should not only be comfortable for adults; it should be a place where the child feels safe, respected, understood, and motivated to learn.
Education is not a competition, and children should never be compared to one another. Every child has their own pace, their own strengths, and their own path. Our goal is not to find what a child cannot do. Our goal is to discover what they can do—and help them grow from there.
We do not see children as projects to be fixed or shaped into someone else’s expectations.
A child is already a complete individual—here and now.
